TIME to nominate community crime fighters for the West Midlands Police’s Diamond awards is fast running out.
Around 200 members of the public, police officers and community members have been nominated for the policing equivalent of the Oscars.
And with nominations set to close on Wednesday December 31 = people are urged to get their forms in quickly.
Now in its third year, the annual awards recognise people who have made a significant contribution to make the West Midlands a safer place to live, work and visit.
Chairman of the Diamond Awards judging panel, Deputy Chief Constable Dave Thompson, said: "Last year’s awards were immensely successful and once again they look set to be a resounding success.
"We have already received fantastic nominations recognising excellent work across the West Midlands − and I would encourage people to just take a few minutes to make sure that their colleagues are recognised."
People can nominate police officers, police staff, members of the public or any other local heroes for the awards which will be presented at an awards ceremony on March 26 2015.
