DUDLEY’S mental health trust has received top ratings from a recent survey of trainee doctors.
The trainees have recently spent time with the Dudley and Walsall Mental Health Partnership NHS Trust during their rotation.
The survey showed the trust provided one of only 20 placements in the West Midlands North Foundation Programme that achieved the maximum score for positive feedback.
Kate Gingell, joint medical director, said: “This is fantastic feedback and confirms that as a trust we try our best to provide a good quality and supportive training environment.
“By taking part in these types of programmes it enables us to build our future workforce, and encourage trainee doctors to specialise in psychiatry.”
During a four month psychiatry rotation with the trust, first and second year trainees have the opportunity to work within inpatient and community teams to get hands-on experience of psychiatry in practice.
