ARMED Forces Day will be celebrating all things British with a vintage fair making its debut at the popular Himley event.

In association with Let’s get, Armed Forces Day 2015 will be held at the prestigious Himley Hall and Park on Sunday, June 28, to celebrate the work of servicemen and women.

For the first time Kiki and Honey, who have held a number of fun and friendly vintage fairs in Stourbridge over the last two years, will present a vintage marquee leaping back to the Second World War.

The pair will be bringing the same variety of quality sellers to the day which celebrates the 1940’s.

The Mayor of Dudley, Councillor Steve Waltho, said: “At this year’s event we want to celebrate everything British and really pick up on the war-time spirit seen in the country during that period.

“We’re happy to welcome this new element to the event and hope it adds a new dimension to the day.”

At the event, Kiki and Honey’s marquee will be positioned near the lake and will showcase everything from vintage records to clothing, crafts and jewellery.

A highlight of the vintage fair will be a 1940’s stall hosted by Mary Steven’s Hospice, selling various household items from the time period to raise money for the charity.

To give the event even more vintage flair there will also be a host of activities including performances from swing band N.C. Big Band, Punch and Judy shows and vintage fairground rides.
