THE Black Country Chamber of Commerce has moved into new business premises at the University of Wolverhampton Science Park.
The Chamber has moved from its base in Ward Street, Walsall, into the university’s Creative Industries Centre - joining a hub of around 90 companies from a variety of business sectors.
Margaret Corneby, Chamber chief executive, said: “The Chamber is in the middle of a large number of innovative and creative businesses, exactly the right place for us to be able to listen to their needs and inspire them to grow.
“We are strengthening our outreach and support capability and will be driving a new vision for the Black Country through our Consultative Forum.
“There is no reason why the Black Country can’t take premier position on the global stage in the provision of mid-tier manufacturing services with specialisms in design and testing.”
The Chamber aims to double the size of the Black Country economy by 2023 through its own high growth programme, a revolution in skills development and enhancement of local transport infrastructure.
