STROKE sufferers and their families from across the borough are being invited to take part in a Dudley Stroke Association challenge.
Taking place at the Dell Stadium between 11am and 2pm on Wednesday, September 28, the event features sponsored runs or walks of various distances.
People who want to take part and help raise sponsorship for the association can cover either 50 metres, 500 metres, 1,500 metres or even a 5km, in whatever way they choose.
Roger Edwards, of Dudley Stroke Association, said: “We are holding this event so that people can come together and support one another in a challenge that will help us assess how stroke sufferers are progressing.
“By encouraging families to participate as well, we are hoping that we can raise some additional funds through sponsorship that will help support Dudley Stroke Association’s work.”
The association was set up in 1987 to provide advice, support and information to people who have suffered a stroke and their families and friends.
