EXCELLENT attendance, attitude and hard work has paid off for students at a Kingswinford school as they were treated to a live performance from a former TV talent show contestants.
About 250 Summerhill School students were rewarded with a golden ticket for their academic achievements, enabling them to enjoy a personal concert from The Voice star Liss Jones.
Students enjoyed the show so much, they even called for Liss to come back on to do an encore.
Lis said: “This concert is a great incentive to get students working harder. I think it is a fantastic idea, I never had this kind of reward when I was at school.
“I’m really excited to be doing this performance, I love working with young people.”
As well as the musical treat, pupils also got to chance to watch 2 Unique, a dance team who appeared on ITV’s Britain’s Got Talent.
James Bowkett, headteacher at Summerhill School, said: “We are very proud to have Liss perform at our first ever Reward Concert.
“We feel the students really enjoyed the performance and will be looking forward to our next event.”
