MEMBERS of Kingswinford Christian Centre have thanked all those who donated and helped raise £350 for Stourbridge’s Mary Stevens Hospice when they took to the streets for a spot of carol singing.
Kath Cooper from the Summer Street church said they “sang their hearts out” on December 12 and 14, adding: “The Tuesday evening was extremely cold but very ‘Christmassy’ as the snow was still on the ground. People even came out from their houses and joined in singing carols with us.
“On Thursday evening it was a wet and windy but nothing would dampen our spirits and out again we went.
“Father Christmas came along and greeted the children as they came to the door to listen to our renditions of Jingle Bells, Silent Night and many more traditional carols. “Once again a brilliant time was had by all.”
