A HALESOWEN based distributor of specialist engineering products has moved 20 jobs into a 14,000 sq ft industrial unit in the town.

Hayley Fluid Power has taken the last available unit on the Forge Trading Estate, on Mucklow Hill, in a deal sealed by commercial property specialist Bulleys.

The move from its existing premises in Shelah Road will allow the company to plan further growth, including trade counter facilities to further support local business.

John W Jones, director at Hayley Fluid Power, said: “We have recently increased staff numbers which is why there was a necessity to move, and we definitely see a need for further recruitment once we have moved.

“We were attracted to Forge Trading Estate because of its proximity to our head office and the security of the site given our occasional need for 24/7 operations made it ideal.”

Hayley Fluid Power’s new premises will house offices, stores and hydraulic hose production facilities along with a quality control function and a pneumatic control panel build facility.

Stuart Haydon, portfolio manager at Mucklow, the real estate company which owns Forge Trading Estate, said: “We’re looking forward to welcoming Hayley Fluid Power and it will be exciting to see a full and thriving industrial estate.”

Max Shelley, an associate at Bulleys, added: “We’re pleased to have found the right property for Hayley Fluid Power to relocate to, and the improved facilities are just right for the company’s ongoing growth.

“We’re also delighted that we now have full capacity on the Forge Trading Estate, which just goes to show the strong demand for high-quality industrial units in the Midlands.”
