A 12-year-old boy was found with a neck injury in Sedgley yesterday evening.

Police were called to Daffodil Close in Sedgley just before 6pm on June 20 after a 12-year old was found with a neck injury.

Investigations are taking place to determine how he came to be injured, police said.

One ambulance and two paramedic officers also attended the scene and took the youngster to hospital for further checks.

The boy remains in hospital with injuries described as not life-threatening or life-changing by police.

A police spokesman said: "Police were called after a 12-year-old boy was found with a neck injury in Daffodil Close, Sedgley, just before 6pm yesterday (20 June).

"He remains in hospital for treatment although his injuries are not life-threatening or life-changing.

"Officers are currently working to establish how he came to be injured."
