THE Red Hose Glass Cone will host a valuation day for family antiques, heirlooms, silverware and collectables next month.

A senior valuer from Bonhams Auctioneers will provide valuations on glass, ceramics, clocks, works of art, pictures and silver on Sunday August 25 as part of this year’s International Festival of Glass.

Valuation costs £2 per item or £5 for 3 items, with a maximum of 3 items per person and all proceeds will go to the Red House Glass Cone to support its community activities.

Councillor Ian Kettle, cabinet member for regeneration, said: "Bonhams is a highly respected auction house locally and we’re delighted to welcome them to the cone for the very first time as part of the International Festival of Glass.

"They are experts in ceramics, silverware, fine art, not just glass so we’re looking forward to seeing a fantastic range of items for valuation.”

No booking is necessary to attend and the event takes place from 11am to 3pm.
