TWO men have been banned from attending West Bromwich Albion matches, after appearing at Dudley Magistrates Court.

Ryan Holder, aged 38, of Elderfield Road, Kings Norton, has been banned from attending any West Bromwich Albion game after receiving a five-year football banning order. Holder was found guilty of using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour with intent to cause those persons to believe that immediate unlawful violence would be used against them. He also received a 12 week prison sentence suspended for 12 months and must carry out 200 hours of unpaid work. The court also ordered Holder to pay a £115 surcharge and £620 costs.

Stephen Willets, aged 55, of Garland Crescent, Halesowen, also received a five-year football banning order and is banned from attending West Bromwich Albion matches. Willets was found guilty of using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour with intent to cause those persons to believe that immediate unlawful violence would be used against them. He also received a 12 week prison sentence suspended for 12 months and must carry out 200 hours of unpaid work. The court also ordered Willets to pay a £115 surcharge and £620 costs.

The following cases were also heard at Dudley Magistrates Court last week.

Anil Choudry, aged 33, of White City Road, Quarry Bank, pleaded guilty to stealing £700 worth of goods from Mothercare in Merry Hill. He received a community order with a curfew for six weeks. He was ordered to pay £700 in compensation, along with an £85 surcharge and £100 costs.

Anthony Clarke, aged 53, of Griffiths Street, Tipton, pleaded guilty to driving over the legal alcohol limit. He was ordered to pay a fine, surcharge and costs totalling £685 and was disqualified from holding a driving licence for 18 months.

Todd Harris, aged 30, of Alma Street, Halesowen, pleaded guilty to assault. He received a 12 month conditional discharge and was ordered by the court to pay £100 in compensation, a £20 surcharge and £135 costs.

Malakye Taylor, aged 18, of Harebell Crescent, Dudley, pleaded guilty to wilfully obstructing a police constable in the execution of his duty. He was given a conditional discharge for 12 months and was ordered to pay a surcharge and costs totalling £95.

Jordan Emery, aged 25, of Beaumont Road, Halesowen, pleaded guilty to breaking a restraining order. He was jailed for 18 weeks due to failing to comply with the requirements of post custodial sentence supervision. He was also ordered to pay a £115 surcharge.

Andrew Cotton, aged 24, of St James Road, Oldbury, pleaded guilty to driving over the legal alcohol limit. He received a community order and must carry out 120 hours of unpaid work. He was also disqualified from holding a driving licence for 24 months and was ordered to pay a surcharge and costs totalling £220.

John Orford, aged 29, of William Street, Brierley Hill, pleaded guilty to driving while disqualified from holding a driving licence and driving without insurance. He received a community order with a curfew and was ordered to pay a £85 surcharge and £135 costs. He was also disqualified from holding a driving licence for 22 months.
