A DUDLEY man has been sent to a young offenders institute after stealing hundreds of pounds worth of perfume.

Majkel Burjanski, aged 19, of Eve Lane, Dudley admitted to stealing £376 worth of perfume from Debenhams in Merry Hill and a further count of stealing perfume worth £59, at a hearing at Dudley Magistrates' Court. He also pleaded guilty to stealing aerosol spray worth £20 from Al Noor Supermarket and stealing meat worth £60 from Asda. He was committed to a young offenders institute for 12 weeks due to disregarding court orders and a record of previous offending. He was also ordered to pay a £122 surcharge and £185 costs.

The following cases were also heard at Dudley Magistrates' Court last week.

John Jones, aged 30, of Padarn Close, Dudley, admitted driving over the legal alcohol limit in Tipton. He was fined £120 and ordered to pay a £32 surcharge and £135 in costs. He was also disqualified from holding a driving licence for 18 months.

Tar Singh, aged 38, of Dudley Road East, Tividale, pleaded guilty to driving on Portway Road while over the legal alcohol limit. He received a community order with a curfew and must carry out 200 hours of unpaid work over the next twelve months. He was also disqualified from holding a driving licence for 36 months and was ordered to pay a £90 surcharge and £135 in costs.

Kyle Jackson, aged 18, of no fixed address, pleaded guilty to possessing cannabis in the Market Place in Dudley. He was fined £50, ordered to pay a £32 surcharge and £135 in costs.

Mohammed Khan, aged 37, of Lewis Street, Tipton, pleaded guilty to possessing cocaine in Coseley. He was fined £165 and ordered to pay a £32 surcharge and £185 costs.

Dean Madelin, aged 33, of Masefield Avenue, Dudley, pleaded guilty to possessing cannabis and failing to provide a blood specimen to police when asked. He also admitted driving without insurance and a licence. He was fined £80 and ordered to pay a £32 surcharge and costs of £185. He was also disqualified from holding a driving licence for 12 months.

Alan Shackleford, aged 68, of Wellington Road, Dudley, pleaded guilty to pleaded guilty to assaulting Samantha Truslove, causing her actual bodily harm. He received a community order with a rehabilitation activity requirement and was ordered to pay a £90 surcharge and £185 costs.

Jordan Priest, aged 21, of Wychbury Road, Wollescote, pleaded guilty to damaging a car windscreen without lawful excuse. He was ordered to pay a fine, compensation, surcharge and costs totalling £297.
