RESIDENTS are invited to the Mayor of Dudley's civic carol service in Lower Gornal tonight (Tuesday, December 10).
Councillor David Stanley will host the festival of nine lessons and carols at St James’s The Great Church from 7.30pm.
The festive event follows on from the Mayor's special Christmas memorial service at Gornal Wood Crematorium last Sunday with Father Oakes, where people were invited to remember lost loved ones.
Councillor David Stanley, the Mayor of Dudley, said: "I would like to thank Father Oakes for putting on the three Christmas memorial services.
"We often feel the loss of loved ones more than ever at this time of year, and it was a gesture that was very much appreciated by myself and all the people who attended them.
"I would like to invite anyone who wants to come and join us for my annual civic carol concert to do so at St James’s in Gornal.
"May I take this opportunity to wish the residents of Dudley borough a very happy Christmas and season’s greetings."
