A NETHERTON man has been hit with a court bill after admitting causing unlawful damage to a nightclub door.

Hardeep Shergill, of Cradley Road, Netherton, admitted causing damage to a fire door at Gorgeous Bar in Wolverhampton at a hearing at Dudley Magistrates Court.

The court heard how the unlawful damage cost £200. The 37-year-old was fined £293 and also ordered to pay £200 in compensation and a £32 surcharge by magistrates.

The following cases were also heard at Dudley Magistrates Court last week.

Gaynor Jones, aged 54, of Foxglove Road, Dudley, was ordered to carry out 120 hours of unpaid work after being found guilty of assaulting Diane Perry. Jones received a community order and was also ordered to pay compensation, a surcharge and costs totalling £585.

Aaron Nash of Forme Close, Gornal, admitted using threatening or abusive words or behaviour likely to cause harassment, alarm or distress. The 26-year-old received a 12 month conditional discharge and was ordered to pay £135 in costs and a £21 surcharge.

Stuart Williams, aged 40, of Ketley Hill Road, Dudley, pleaded guilty to stealing two bottles of Jack Daniels from a Co-Op in Halesowen. He received a community order with an eight-week curfew and was billed £20 in compensation. Williams also admitted assaulting Tella Olanrewaju in Halesowen, for which he received another community order with a curfew. He was also ordered to pay £360 in compensation, a surcharge and costs.

Anthony Skilbeck, aged 68, of Summer Hill, Kingswinford, admitted to driving over the legal alcohol limit while driving on Market Street. He was found to be driving with 44 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath. Skilbeck was disqualified from holding a driving licence for 12 months and was fined £600. He was also ordered to pay a £60 surcharge and £135 in costs.

Amy Preston of Park Road, Lower Gornal pleaded guilty to driving a Peugot 108 without holding a relevant licence. The 27-year-old was fined £40 and also ordered to pay a £32 surcharge and £85 costs.

David Rogers, aged 48, of Lutley Avenue, Halesowen, was found guilty of assaulting Matthew Young by beating him. Rogers received a community order and must carry out 180 hours of unpaid work over the next 12 months. He was ordered to pay £280 in compensation, a £90 surcharge and £500 in costs. Rogers was also found guilty of assaulting Dawn Cadwalleder by beating, for which he was ordered to pay £100 in compensation and carry out 180 hours of unpaid work.

Nathan Simpson-Etheridge, aged 34, of Heath Road, Netherton, pleaded guilty to driving in Cradley Heath without insurance nor a licence. He received a community order with a curfew and was disqualified from holding a driving licence for 12 months. He was also ordered to pay costs and a surcharge totalling £225.
