YOBS threatened a Halesowen resident to hand over his car keys in the early hours of the morning.
Police are investigating the incident on Narrow Lane just after 1.30am on Saturday April 4.
The men used a brick to smash the window of the Skoda Octavia after he refused.
A spokesman for West Midlands Police said: "We are investigating criminal damage to a car on Narrow Lane in Halesowen.
"A homeowner looked out his window after hearing noise from his garden and shouted at a group who then asked for his car keys.
"When he refused, a brick was used to smash the rear window of his Skoda Octavia, before the offenders made off."
