AN ELVIS impersonator's performance from his Halesowen living room was beamed live to fans across the world - raising more than £5k for the NHS.

Halesowen hound dog Mark Summers decided to put on a show after requests from fans and has been amazed by the reaction which has seen 183,000 people watch his video on Facebook.

The three-and-a-half hour Elvis marathon also raised an impressive £5,345 for the NHS.

Halesowen News:

The married dad-of-two, who is one of the country's top Elvis impersonators, is now planning another show in a few weeks time in a bid to raise the fundraising total to £10k.

Mark, aged 37, said: "So many people had asked me to do it.

"It was a relaxed set - I was in a jumper and jeans - it just got bigger than I thought.

"It was a bit of a last minute thing to put donations for the NHS - at first it had raised £10, then hundreds - then it kept going crazy.

"I was only supposed to do one hour, but it ended up being three and a half hours and there were people watching from all over the world!"

Mark said some of his fans from across the UK have lost relatives to coronavirus - which makes it "personal."

He has been crowned winner of a host of international competitions – including the National Tribute Awards 2017 – and even has the blessing of The King's wife Priscilla Presley.
