We would like to thank all the Black Country key workers who have stepped up and stepped out to work during the coronavirus pandemic.

From nurses to shop workers, postmen to firemen and binmen to care home workers – we can never thank you enough.

Next week will be publishing a list of names of those local key workers who have kept us safe and kept us going throughout the pandemic in a special pull-out supplement.

It’s our way of saying ‘Thank you’ to our amazing keyworkers.

News Group editor Stephanie Preece said: “We all know now that heroes don’t wear capes – they wear uniforms.

“We are so thankful to the local men and women who have kept our communities going.

“While many of use stayed at home the key workers had no choice but to carry on.

“The families and friends of these key workers must be so proud of them. Please tell us who they are so that we can ensure their names are documented forever.”

The special edition pull-out will appear inside your paper next week, telling the story of all the amazing key workers who keep us safe, look after the vulnerable and ensure our essential services continue.
