CELEBRATED Black Country folk and blues star Sunjay has served up a new album of live recordings to fill the 2020 coronavirus induced gig void.

More Than a One Night Stand comprises 11 songs recorded over the course of two of Sunjay's previous shows.

The majority of the tracks are interpretations of folk and blues favourites, with Stourbridge based Sunjay having taken the opportunity to record some of the frequently requested numbers from his live repertoire that he may not have otherwise released.

Renowned for his mature guitar mastery and vocals, Sunjay has gigged prolifically for the last decade - captivating blues and folk fans up and down the UK.

Over the years he has opened stages for the likes of esteemed artists such as Steeleye Span, Martin Simpson and Show of Hands, as well as earning nominations for a host of awards including the BBC Radio 2 Young Folk Award in 2012.

These days he is considered one of the UK's top young blues stars with a very bright future.

His new release follows the success of his 2019 album Devil Came Calling and it is set for a worldwide digital platform release on September 4.

But loyal fans eager to have a listen sooner can download it directly from Sunjay's website sunjay.tv.

Sunjay said: "Due to current times it will only be available digitally - no CDs - but as a special treat I am making the album available directly to fans, who just can’t wait, on my website so they can download the album a month before the official release."
