Two leading independent Worcestershire commercial property consultancies have merged to form a new firm of chartered surveyors, which will offer clients a comprehensive property service, and unrivalled geographical coverage, throughout Worcestershire and along the M5 and A38 corridors.

Worcester-based Guise Jones Sawyer and Bromsgrove-based JP Dillon have merged into the new partnership of GJS Dillon LLP. The principals of Guise Jones Sawyer and JP Dillon, respectively Philip Jones and John Dillon, both become partners in the new, five-strong firm.

From its established offices in Worcester and Bromsgrove, GJS Dillon will provide coverage for its clients throughout north and south Worcestershire, and beyond, across all commercial property agency, acquisition consultancy, management, valuation and other disciplines, coupled with an emphasis on crisp, efficient, personal service.

“With JP Dillon best known for its industrial and office agency and Guise Jones Sawyer’s focus on consultancy and professional surveying work, our new firm will provide an improved service for all its existing and prospective clients,” said GJS Dillon Partner John Dillon.

Partner Philip Jones said: “John and I have known each other for a number of years, with great mutual respect as to how each other operates, and with the same emphasis on providing excellent principal led client service, so we are both very excited about the prospects for our new firm.”

Guise Jones Sawyer is one of the best known and longest established surveying firms in Worcester, led by Philip Jones for the past 15 years, who is himself one of the best known Chartered Surveyors in the county.

It manages a large portfolio of properties across the UK, and provides consultancy, acquisition, valuation and general property advice to its clients which include public companies, industrial concerns and public and education sector organisations, such as The University of Worcester for which it has made a number of key property acquisitions to help further its expansion.

Mr Jones is also surveyor to The King's School, Worcester, honorary surveyor to a number of charities and arts organisations, and property adviser to Worcester Consolidated Charities, the 500-year-old city charity which has a property portfolio valued in excess of £10 million.

Founded by John Dillon, the former director and head of office agency at the Birmingham office of Lambert Smith Hampton, in only two years JP Dillon Commercial Property Consultants has established itself as one of the county’s leading chartered surveyors, focused on the sale, letting, acquisition and management of all types of commercial and industrial premises throughout Worcestershire and the M5 and A38 corridors.

Earlier this year JP Dillon completed the largest office letting in Worcestershire for five years, with the disposal of more than 14,000 sq ft of office space at Avon House in Bromsgrove, and in the past 12 months it has agreed terms for the disposal of two major town centre regeneration sites for Bromsgrove District Council.

It has also acquired new premises totalling more than 40,000 sq ft for local organisations, most recently a 10,000 sq ft unit at Great Western Business Park, Worcester, for new manufacturing company Delta Cam International.
