The Bay Horse has enjoyed growing success since a major refurbishment last year and was recently listed the number one pub/restaurant in Stourport on the online review site TripAdvisor.

After its revamp in June 2011, the hostelry, run by Mike Webb and Rachel Oliver, also introduced an excellent value-for-money menu which has quickly become a firm favourite.

The positive response included plenty of comments on the TripAdvisor website. “Pet friendly and have some amazing deals on steaks and mains, very friendly atmosphere too – they even let me put the Welsh rugby on the flat screen!” said one.

Another said: “We stayed at the Stourport Manor hotel and TripAdvisor linked to this pub. Wonderful food, fantastic welcome from Mike and Rach and a lovely atmosphere, both at lunchtime on the Friday and for dinner on the Saturday. How they manage to provide such wonderful food at such competitive prices, I really don’t know.”

Having raised more than £1,600 for charity in 2011, the Bay Horse will be raising money for Help for Heroes by hosting various fund-raising events during 2012.

There will be the chance to win a meal for four at the Hartlebury Road hostelry by entering a pancake eating competition on February 21. Entry is £2 and all proceeds will be donated to Help for Heroes For updates of these events and other offers, join the Bay Horse facebook page at www.facebook. com/thebayhorsestourport or call 01299 488380.
