The next meeting of the Amblecote History Society is being held in The Lehr Theatre at The Ruskin Glasshouse Arts Centre, Wollaston Road, Amblecote, DY8 4HF on Wednesday, May 13, starting at 7.30pm.
The topic of the meeting is “The Black Death” with Kevin Goodman giving a presentation about the Black Death which was the most feared and lethal disease of the medieval age.
The talk will reveal its impact upon the West Midlands in the fourteenth century and why it’s spectre still haunts us today.
Visitors are always most welcome at a small admission charge of £2 on the door.
The society meets on every second Wednesday of the month and enjoys a varied programme with outdoor meetings during the summer months.
