AN unattended garden fire and a rubbish blaze were no match for Brierley Hill firefighters who tackled the two incidents yesterday evening (February 29).
Red Watch crews from the town’s fire station were first alerted to the large bin fire at a property in Brierley Hill before 7.30pm last night.
The fire crew posted an image of the fire on Twitter along with the message: “Don’t store rubbish close to your property.”

Later in the evening, before 11.30pm, the Brierley Hill firefighters continued their quest of extinguishing rubbish fires by attended a blaze at a garden in Lye.
The crew tackled the fire which was left unattended.
