BOROUGH nature reserves will be keeping kids busy during February including the half term holiday.
A five-mile walk through Buckpool, Fens Pools and Barrow Hill, known as the Dudley Volcano, is just one of the activities being laid on at Dudley Council managed reserves across Dudley, Brierley Hill and Halesowen.
The walk, which includes slopes and steep steps, will take place on Thursday February 14 from 10am to 1pm.
Walkers should meet at the wardens’ office at the Dell Stadium, at the junction of Bryce Road and Pensnett Road, Pensnett.
Sturdy walking shoes are recommended.
Bookings can be made by calling 01384 812780.
Councillor Tracy Wood, Dudley’s cabinet member for environment and culture, said: “It’s always helpful to have plenty of activities to take the children along to especially during school holidays.
“The nature reserves offer some unique events as well as great open spaces where people can just enjoy the outdoors.”
