PROSPECTIVE care workers are being invited to a career open day at a Clent residential special school.

Sunfield, which supports children and young people aged six to 19 with complex needs, including autism, is hoping to attract applicants for a number of care support vacancies.

In anticipation of new students joining, the open day – taking place from 10am on June 11 – is a chance for those looking to start or further a career in the industry to take a tour of the site and meet current staff members to find out more about what working at the school entails.

The school currently employs more than 350 people and now had a number of care support roles across both their day and night teams available.

Clifford Faulder, the school’s newly appointed director of care, said: “We’re looking for people that want a career, not just a job.

“Our children and young people need one-to-one and often two-to-one support from patient, caring and compassionate natured people.

“We’re looking for those that have the skills and experience to help our students learn, develop and make the most of their potential – if that’s you, come and find out why working for Sunfield is so special.”
