Kingswinford Townswomen's Guild
The guild met on April 10 in Kingswinford Community Centre, High Street. Kath Turner had provided some very pretty flowers to enhance the proceedings ,which she generously donated as an extra raffle prize. Chairman Enid Fennell introduced our newest member, June Bradley.The necessary business was soon completed and the new committee member Pauline Bird introduced to the members,in her new capacity as vice chairman Mrs Fennell reminded members that they were all eligible to attend the Federation Annual General Meeting on April 19th.
Chairman Enid Fennell then introduced Roy Peacock as the speaker for the evening with the talk on the local history of the Foley's.
Enid Fennell, Chris Moy and June Bradley won the raffle prizes. Mavis and Doreen offered to wash the teacups. The next meeting will be held on May 8 and is about Female Conscription in WW2.
