BLACK Country youngster Rhys Jones is one of four finalists vying for a shot at heading to Japan for the Rugby World Cup in October.

Kinver High schoolboy Rhys, who played for Walsall under 12s last year, is hoping for some last minute support before the competition, run by BT Sport Rugby and DHL Rugby, concludes tonight at 10pm.

If he wins, he will get chance to take to the pitch at the Rugby World Cup 2019.

Rhys is described as a “big player, with a big heart and a real passion for rugby” and his proud dad Gavin Jones said: “It would be amazing to get a lad from Stourbridge all the way to Japan.”
