TEN lucky Kingswinford neighbours have netted £30,000 each in the People’s Postcode Lottery.

The Earlswood Road residents won big when their postcode, DY6 7DX, was drawn as the winner of the Street Prize yesterday (Sunday April 8).

Elizabeth Whitehouse, aged 68, who was joined by husband Graham when she was handed her cheque, was left "speechless" at the news.

She said: "This is just so much more than I could ever have hoped for. This has been a difficult week as my sister-in-law passed away and Graham has been in hospital, so this definitely gives us both a reason to smile.

“We’re celebrating our 50th wedding anniversary this year, so now we’ll be able to do something extra special to mark the occasion."

Pauline Plumb, aged 68, also couldn't believe her good fortune and said: "It was my birthday on Saturday so this gives me another reason to celebrate."

Sheila Wood, aged 72, described the win as "fantastic" and said: “I love the fact that so many other people on the street have won with me."
