MARY Stevens Park is hosting a range of activities for families across Stourbridge this Easter.

The events kick off with a free Teddy Bears Picnic on Wednesday, April 12, from 11am until 3pm, at the bandstand, where families can bring along their teddies and a picnic for parachute games, treasure trails, singing, dancing and story sessions.

On Friday, April 14, from 10am until noon, there is a bluebell planting session where visitors can drop-in at the bottom of the woods, just up the hill from the activity centre and help plant English bluebells in the woodland edges.

An Easter Treasure Trail is taking place on Saturday, April 15, from 10am until 4pm, with trail maps available from the activity centre. Return it completed for a prize. There will also be free face painting from 1pm until 2pm, with a suggested donation of £1.

Families are also invited to a Scavenger Hunt Treasure Trail on Tuesday, April 18 from 11am until noon. Aimed at children over the age of five, the youngsters can unlock the treasure by completing a series of missions around the park. This event meets at the activity centre.

Join in with an Egg and Spoon race and Egg rolling on Thursday, April 20, from 11am until noon, complete with assault course, races and egg rolling down the hill. As there are a limited amount of eggs and spoons available this free activity is on a first come, first served basis.

On Friday, April 21, there is a chance to make seed bombs at a free event in the activity centre from 11am until noon. Participants can make wildflower seed bombs to take away and brighten up some bare ground.

Finally, there is a Stourbridge Glass Walk on Wednesday, April 26, from 10am until 11.30am. The free event – but places are limited and must be booked – offers a chance to find out about the local glass industry, the glassmaking process and discover how Stourbridge became internationally renowned for its products. Walkers should meet by the café at 10am.
