BLACK Country comedy character Doreen Tipton has been less of a lazy cow and more of a busy bee since the US presidential election result left the world in shock.

Within hours of wealthy businessman/TV celebrity Donald Trump being confirmed as the next American president - Doreen creator David Tristram, originally from Quarry Bank, and actress Jill Gordon, from Walsall, were up to their tricks again…filming another spoof video poking fun at current events.

Doreen, a fictional mum on benefits who suffers from ‘lazy cow syndrome’ making her feel faint at the thought of having to open her own bag of crisps, has been making comedy fans laugh since she first appeared in an internet video that went viral in 2012.

She’s since appeared in a host of stage shows, released her autobiography, starred in her own movie and launched her own internet TV channel. She’s also landed guest slots on BBC Radio WM as well as a role in this year’s pantomime at Wolverhampton Grand Theatre.

Never afraid to air her views on current affairs - she’s also put out her own alternative Christmas message and had her say on Brexit.

And now she can be seen in a spoof video trumpeting Donald Trump’s victory in the race to The White House - entitled 'Doreen does a Trump'.

Doreen’s next outing on BBC WM will be on Saturday November 19 from 10am to midday - and fans can see her in Aladdin at The Grand from December 10 to January 22.
