Sedgley Local History Society
The society's new season of talks begins on September 13 at 7.30pm in St Andrew's Church, Bilston Street,Sedgley.
The speaker is Barbara Price who has carried out extensive research covering over 750 local soldiers, or whom some 300 died in the Great War.
Her illustrated talk covers Sedgley, the Gornals and Hurst Hill.
Barbara's folders hold meticulous profiles for each man including war record and where buried or commemorated.
The evening is a fine tribute to local heroes.
As usual, visitors are invited to come along. Individual talks cost £2. Annual membership of the society costs £5 and gives free access to the programme of talks.
