ART fans still have time to catch two exhibitions featuring work by borough artists at Himley Hall.

Work by the Brierley Hill District Society of Artists and The Dudley Society of Artists is currently on display at the historic stately home.

Founded in 1947, the Brierley Hill group was set up so students of the then Brierley Hill School of Art had somewhere to display their work.

Over the years it has grown in size and its membership now includes both amateur and professional artists from Brierley Hill. Members meet monthly, usually on the last Friday or each month – apart from July, August and December, at Kingswinford Community Centre from 7.30pm to 9.30pm.

The Dudley Society of Artists is celebrating its 90th year this year and also boasts members of all levels and skills.

The group meets every Wednesday evening throughout the year between 7pm and 9pm at Castle High School in Dudley.

Members of the public can visit both exhibitions for free.

The Brierley Hill District Society of Artists exhibition runs until Sunday September 16 and the Dudley Society of Artists showcase finishes on Saturday September 22.
