BELBROUGHTON chef Andy Waters will be taking part in the ‘Cooking with Kids Programme’ which is designed to encourage children into cooking.
Andy, head chef at The Queens, is one of 21 chefs taking part in the scheme through Great British Chefs and their partner Tesco.
More than 100 recipes have been created to help children create delicious food from scratch with their parents and are available on www.greatbritishchefs.com
Andy said: “The secret is to make your dishes look appealing and not spend too much time explaining to very young children what’s in each dish, as they may pick out what they don’t like.
“If they are part of making the dish, even if it’s just stirring or weighing ingredients, they’re much more likely to eat all sorts of food.”
