A STOURBRIDGE woman has organised a charity gig to raise funds to educate children in Gambia.
Emily Scott has arranged for 14 acts to perform at Katie Fitzgerald's, Enville Street, tomorrow (Thursday) to support her university lecturer, Mark Chidler build a school in the West African country.
The 25-year-old, who is studying primary education at Newman University, said: "Mark has bought a plot of land to build a school and will start with a nursery block and build it up from there. There is no official fundraising target at the moment, we just need to raise as much as possible."
Emily said she hopes to raise a respectable amount of cash at the gig, which starts at 8pm, and added: "It’ll be a fantastic night of music, entertainment, fun, frolicking and fundraising."
All funds raised from the £3 admission will go towards the project.
