WEBBS Garden Centre in West Hagley is holding its annual ‘Donate, Don’t Dump Day’ for Mary Stevens Hospice.
Customers visiting the Kidderminster Road South store between 10am and 5pm on Thursday June 26 are invited to bring at least one good quality item which is no longer wanted or needed which can then be sold in one of the hospice charity shops.
Items can be dropped off at a collection area in Webbs’ car park before they are taken to the Oldswinford based hospice for sorting and delivery to the charity’s shops.
Vicki Rowles, head of fundraising at the hospice, said: “The support we receive from Webbs West Hagley every year really is appreciated.
"Activities such as ‘don’t dump – donate!’ days go a long way to help us secure good quality items to stock our shops throughout the region, along with items to recycle.
“It costs in excess of £2.3 million every year to ensure the doors of Mary Stevens Hospice can remain open and without the support of our local community this simply would not be possible.”
Executive chairman Ed Webb said: “We are really pleased these hospice donate days have captured people’s imagination and are well supported each year.”
