A WEEK of themed activities are being held in Kinver Library as a build up to National Libraries Day.
The village library will be using National Libraries Day, which takes place on Saturday, to highlight the free services and opportunities membership of libraries now brings, with special ‘Mood Boosting Books Display’ taking place throughout this week.
Local residents of all ages can join in the celebrations by also taking part in a free drop-in reminiscence showcase session on Thursday between 10.30am and noon.
Staffordshire County Councillor Mike Lawrence, cabinet member responsible for libraries, said: “National Libraries Day is one of the key events in the diary.
“We’ve worked hard to make the county’s library service more accessible to our communities, including 24 hour renewal hotline, e-mail and text messaging and free online resources, whilst investing in new technology to invigorate library membership such as e-books, e-magazines and self-service kiosks.”
