A KINVER mum has decided to use her 15 years of experience and expertise to start up her own human resources consultancy business.
After having a baby, Emma Cromarty created EC Human Resources Ltd to advise small to medium sized businesses (SMEs) in the Black Country on all things HR.
Emma, who advises Black Country SMEs in all employment issues and ways of keeping costs low, said she was “surprised” how quickly she started to get business.
She said: “There is obviously a requirement in the local area for commercial HR advice at the right cost for SMEs.
“The amount of SMEs that do not have contracts of employment in place, or policies is astonishing and my aim is to ensure that businesses have things in place to ensure they are safe guarded against any employee claims.
“I have worked with a variety of industries so far, including transport, warehousing and logistics, automotive, veterinary practices, leisure, and print.
Emma also offers SMEs a pay as you go option or a retainer service.
“I think it's important that I offer a bespoke service to companies, as each business has different requirements and agendas,” she said.
The business is going from strength to strength and Emma has even had to engage the services of other HR professionals to conduct appeals on her company’s behalf.
Emma added: “I have helped out some larger businesses with disciplinary meetings who were short on HR staff and have even advised a couple of businesses in Weston Super Mare.”
