STUDENTS at Burford School celebrated after finding out their GCSE results.
25% of all GCSE grades were 9 - 7. 80% of all students achieved 5+ 9- 4 (including Eng & Maths). 25 students achieved 7 or more 9 – 7 grades.
19 students achieved 8 or more 9 - 7 grades. 9 students achieved 10 9 - 7 grades
Mrs Kathy Haig, Headteacher, said:‘The GCSE results this year are once again excellent and show the tremendous effort that our students have made. Achieving and exceeding the Governments targets for our headline results puts Burford School in the top 20% of all schools nationally. I am delighted that our student’s attainment and progress is so exceptional. This is a particularly pleasing set of results as the new GCSEs are so much more rigorous. I would like to thank my highly professional and committed staff who have worked hard to ensure our students get the best education.’

The following students achieved 11 GCSE passes at A*-A/9-7 grades:
