A CITY centre premises will receive a warning after it was caught serving alcohol to a child.
Police officers found the Worcester business serving booze to a minor during a routine licence check.
Sergeant Paul Smith, who leads the south Worcestershire licensing team, said: “During the festive period we have increased patrols throughout Worcestershire as part of our operation Christmas Presence.
"The city centre business was visited as part of a proactive licence check and they will be given a warning.
“We would like to remind all licenced premises to be especially vigilant through the busy festive period and encourage them to challenge anyone for ID that they feel looks under 25."
West Mercia Police would not name the premises that was caught selling alcohol to a child.
