NATIONAL Trust organisers at Snowshill Manor and Garden are on the lookout for new volunteers and will be hosting two drop-in sessions next month.

There are a variety of volunteer roles available including; telling the story of Snowshill by giving introductory talks or garden tours, running the model train in Wolf’s Cove, working in the second hand bookshop or supporting the team in the shop.

Hayley Gaisford-Gotto, general manager at Snowshill, said: "Our volunteers are very precious to us, and we couldn’t open for visitors without them.

"If you’re interested, don’t worry about what role you may or may not be able to do.

"All you need is a friendly smile and a desire to want to help our visitors enjoy their day. Once we understand what your interests and skills are, and how much time you have to offer, we can find a role to suit you."

The drop-in sessions will take place on Monday, February 4, and Saturday, February 9, between 11am and 2pm.

There is no need to book in advance. Simply drop in any time between 11am and 2pm to find out more, meet the team and see how you can get involved.

If you want to let the team know you are coming, find out more about what’s happening on the day or have any questions that you would like to ask, email snowshillmanor@nationaltrust.org.uk or call 01386 842814.
