A TEENAGE girl has been singing the praises of an all-male chorus for their fund raising efforts for the charity Pancreatic Cancer UK.
Kiaragh Brown, from Sheriff's Lench, near Evesham, a UK Youth Ambassador for Pancreatic Cancer UK, received £500 from the Vale Harmony Barbershop Chorus to help fund research into a cure for pancreatic cancer.
The Vale Harmony chorus, based in Pershore, raised the money by singing at Worcester's Victorian Fayre and entertaining a Rotary club national convention at the Three Counties Showground in Malvern.
Kiaragh, who is Evesham's current Young Musician of the Year, joined the men at a regular Wednesday night rehearsal at the St Andrews Centre in Pershore, and sang Is This The Way To Amarillo with them.
Afterwards, 13-year old Kiaragh, said: "Music is something that brings people together and sheds light on such dark situations as pancreatic cancer. I am so thankful to Vale Harmony for using their music to communicate and bring joy to others, from both the music itself as well as their fantastic fundraising efforts.
"I especially appreciate that they chose to help Pancreatic Cancer UK to further research into this most aggressive of cancers, having lost my Poppa (Grandad) to the illness in 2016."

Andy Parsloe, chairman of Vale Harmony, added: "Finding a cure for pancreatic cancer is dear to my heart because we have had this cancer in our family for 14 years.
"My then new son-in-law contracted it in 2004, and we have been struggling with its consequences ever since. We need to find a cure, and soon."
Pancreatic cancer has the lowest survival of all the 20 most common cancers in the UK, with just seven per cent of people living for five years or more after diagnosis.
Pancreatic Cancer UK is investing in ground-breaking research and supporting patients and their loved ones through its free-phone Support Line staffed by specialist nurses.
