A TALENTED Hereford Sixth Form College student is among the UK's top teen Computational Thinkers.
A-Level student Ted Williams was invited to the University of Oxford's Department of Computer Science as a finalist in a UK-wide competition.
Of the 6,415 students aged 16 to 18 to enter the first round of the UK Bebras Computational Thinking Challenge, Ted was among the top 60 highest achieving students in his age group to be invited to the final round.
His impressive achievement was recognised at a prize-giving ceremony at Oxford University's Hertford College, where he was presented with a finalist's certificate.
The problem-solving contest, supported by Google, is designed to get students excited about computing and computational thinking, with questions inspired by topics in computer science.
In the school-based first round, students have to try and solve as many problems as possible in the allotted time, with the highest scoring students from the four oldest age groups being invited to Oxford for the February finals.
