A PERSONAL trainer from Bromsgrove has been named as the regional finalist in a prestigious awards competition.

Samantha Cubbins from David Lloyd Bromsgrove has been named as the regional finalist of the gym’s Coaching Hero of the Year competition for the West, making it into the final eight nominees from a staggering 1,000 entries.

She was nominated by member Amy Owens for increasing her body confidence and self-esteem.

Amy said: “When I first joined David Lloyd Bromsgrove, I had very little confidence, would stick to using the same three machines and barely spoke to anyone.

"When I met Samantha, she helped me build my confidence in and out of the gym and has completely changed my life.

“My body confidence and self-esteem have improved massively.

"Samantha has even inspired me to become an instructor and personal trainer. I’ve reached so many different goals that I never thought were even possible.”

The search for top national fitness coaches was undertaken to recognise and reward the impact of a personal trainer on an individual, whether the focus is on recovering from illness or injury, to lose weight or even to build confidence.

Regional finalists were announced in January and the national finalist will be announced in the next few weeks.
