KIND-hearted staff from an electrical business in Bromsgrove will be braving the Three Peaks Challenge for three charities.

Members of staff at Barrie Beard are hoping to complete the trek in just 24 hours - and in the process raise as much cash as possible for SANDS (Stillbirth and neonatal death charity), Primrose Hospice, and Target Ovarian Cancer.

They have a target of £6,000 but would like more.

A spokesman from the firm said: "The charities have been chosen very carefully and hold a special place in our hearts, having an emotional and personal connection to some of our 13 challengers.

"Hence, we, as a family company, want to show our full support too by fully throwing ourselves into this challenge by climbing three peaks for three charities in 24 hours."

They added: "Thank you to our 13 mad but brave fundraisers… Billy Banyard, Warren Beard, Dan Cattell, Mark Clamp, Nick Godfrey, Rob Griffin, Tom Gwinnett, Sarah Harrod, Liam Healey, Tom Jolley, Jamie Pemberton, Matt Tongue, and Josh Whyte."

The staff, who have been training both individually and as a team at the Malvern Hills, will be climbing Ben Nevis, Scotland's biggest mountain at 1,344 meters, Scafell Pike, England's biggest mountain at 978 meters and Snowdon, the biggest mountain in Wales at 1,085 meters.
