The county is expected to be hit heavy rain and thunderstorms this evening as the wet August continues.
The Met Office has issued a yellow alert, warning of the risk from around 7pm until the early hours of tomorrow morning.
They advise members of the public to take care when out and about, as possible flash flooding and transportation issue may occur.
The night time temperature will be around 13C.
Later on Thursday morning, rain will reduce by mid afternoon and a strong breeze is expected to develop.
