DOES the comedian Ed Byrne have any traits that are worth passing on to his children?

That is rather a personal, searching question of course; and Ed is probably better-placed to answer it than anyone else.

After all, the man knows his own dark thoughts, and he has a bathroom mirror...

But this is precisely the question he’ll be asking himself before an audience at Worcester’s Huntingdon Hall, in a show called - suitably enough - If I’m Honest.

And a local audience must be up for this spectacle of painful and amusing soul-searching, because Ed’s show, which scheduled for September 19, is already almost sold out.

A spokesman said: “Following his biggest ever tour last year in which Ed sold out his entire Edinburgh Fringe run and many of his nationwide dates, culminating in extra dates added along the way, one of the finest observational comics in the industry announces his brand-new tour for 2019.

“Join him as he takes a long hard look at himself and tries to decide if he has any traits that are worth passing on to his children.”

The spokesman added: “A TV household name, Ed has been seen on pretty much every TV programme in the UK including Mock The Week, QI, The Pilgrimage, Top Gear, Have I Got News For You, The Graham Norton Show, Live At The Apollo (Host), The One Show, The World’s Most Dangerous Roads, Dara & Ed’s Big Adventure and most recently Dara and Ed’s Road to Mandalay.”

But what about his soul? Yes, what about Ed’s soul?
