UPTON-Upon-Severn Town Council has approved three extensions to houses in the town.

At the planning meeting on January 14, councillors discussed three matters: The first was conversion of part of a storage unit into a dwelling in Court Street, a variation of condition 2 of planning permission already granted.

The second was for a side extension and garage conversion into a dining room and utility in Charles Orchard.

The third matter was a first-floor combined side and rear extension to provide a new bedroom and repositioned bathroom in Gardens Walk.

Chair of the committee Graham Francis said: “(the owner) showed me his plans and he is actually proposing to support the extension by putting oak beams in which could be quite attractive.”

Councillors approved all three matters, and permission was granted for them all.
