AN afternoon of retro gaming is set to take place at a city arcade bar to raise funds for St Richard’s Hospice.

The event, titled Game On, will take place on Sunday, January 26 at Retroids Arcade Bar in New Street, Worcester, from 1pm.

Everyone with a ticket to this event will have an hour’s unlimited gaming, with access to classics ranging from Donkey Kong, Pac-man and Frogger – to Time Crisis and Street Fighter.

Hospice event organiser Laurence Alexander said: “We are so excited for this event – it’s set to be a great afternoon of nostalgic gaming for the whole family.

“What’s even better is we will have the whole place to ourselves – with all the games set to free play.

“And with numbers limited to 20 people per time slot, you won’t be left queuing for a game.

“We hope everyone can come along and enjoy themselves, while raising money to help fund the care we provide to patients and loved ones.”

The hospice is also holding a competition at the event which will see the person scoring the highest on Space Invaders winning a prize.

Tickets are priced at £10 for an hour’s unlimited gaming, with four one-hour slots starting from 1pm through to 4pm.

The event is sponsored by The Development Manager Ltd.
