IMPROVEMENT works are set to take place next week on the M5 junction 6.

The works will start on Monday, February 10 for the junction 6 improvement scheme.

There will be a number of evening and night-time closures required in the next few months.

As part of the improvements scheme, Highways England will widen the roundabout, the slip roads and all the approaches.

Highways will also add an extra lane to the roundabout and put traffic signals on the A449 and the A4538 Pershore Lane south approaches.

Fully signed diversion routes will put in place for any full carriageway closures.

To complete this work safely, the following traffic management will be in place:

  • Narrow Lanes in place on the roundabout and all approaches.
  • 50mph speed limit in place reducing down to 30mph.
  • Barrier in place on the A4440
  • NB Exit & Entry slip
  • Nigh time off-peak (8pm to 6am) full closures and lane closures
