ISP Fostering in Bromsgrove is rolling out a campaign to reinforce the message that a child’s past doesn’t have to be their future.

The campaign showcases how it may be easy to forget what a child’s past experiences may be, but it is important for it to be recognised, so a child can be understood and go onto to live a happy life.

ISP Fostering, who provide foster care, education and therapy to young people in need of short or long term care in the Bromsgrove area, has launched the social media and video campaign to highlight the urgent need for foster families across the country.

The short video follows a story of a young girl who was fostered and provides an insightful look into the life of a foster child later in life.

Jane Partridge, Registered Manager for ISP Bromsgrove, commented: “We have a good solid base of experienced, highly capable and very dedicated foster parents, but we are always striving to broaden that base.

“We’re looking for people who have the capacity and the desire to make a difference for children.

“People can be quick to rule themselves out of fostering. We understand there are a lot of misconceptions around fostering, but the truth of the matter is that to foster, the main requirements are that you want to help make a difference to a child’s life.”

ISP is an independent fostering agency, which look after vulnerable children and young people. As a therapeutic fostering provider, they aim to ensure that those in their care lead happy, stable, active childhoods – childhoods that provide the foundations for healthy, happy adulthoods.
