LOCATED a few minutes outside Belmont, Hereford, Clehonger CE Primary School puts family values at the heart of its community.

We aim to create an active and engaging learning environment in which each individual is inspired and supported to achieve their best.

We aspire for every child to be happy, confident and independent in a setting which nurtures positive attitudes underpinned by our values. It is our belief that happy children learn best.

Our mission statement, “For God gave us a spirit not of fear but of power and love and self-control”, helps everyone in our school flourish and fulfil their unique God-given potential, without feeling afraid, being respectful, resilient and responsible.

Head boy and girl, Parliament, Eco-committee, house captains and worship leader roles all promote responsibility in our school.

We are committed to providing the children with broad-ranging opportunities that challenge them and spark an enthusiasm to learn and progress.

We give high priority to wider experiences, including outdoor learning, off-site visits and practical activities such as cooking and the arts.

This term alone, we have taken part with more than 3,000 children singing in the Genting Arena, Birmingham, as part of Young Voices, and taken part with Sing in Spring, Hereford.

Our strong parental partnerships are a vital part to the success of our school, where communication plays a significant role in supporting children’s learning and development, allowing them to reach their full potential.

We also offer wraparound care, which includes breakfast club from 7.45am and after school club up to 5.30pm.

Little Gems Pre-school is for children from two years and upwards with or without NEF-funded places.

It runs term time only from 8.45am to 3.15pm with the wraparound care service available to the pre-school too.

We strive to provide quality care and learning through fun and laughter in a safe and friendly environment.
